Aadhaar verification on Amour is a simple two-step process that takes under a minute. First, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number in the app — this sends a one-time password (OTP) to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar. Second, enter the OTP to complete verification. Once verified, you receive a purple shield badge visible across your entire profile. Your Aadhaar data is used solely for identity verification and is never stored on our servers — only the verification status is retained. Yes, data security is a top priority at Amour. All data is encrypted both in storage and during transmission. Aadhaar data is used only for one-time identity verification and is never stored on our servers. We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act 2000, and SPDI Rules. We never sell your personal data to third parties. You have full control over your data with 20 notification types, per-channel controls (push, email, SMS), and the ability to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can report a user from two places: from their profile in the discovery feed, or from within a chat conversation. Tap the three-dot menu icon and select "Report". Choose a report reason from the available categories, add optional details about the situation, and submit. All reports are completely confidential — the reported user is never notified who filed the report. Our Trust & Safety team reviews every report within 24 hours. A compatibility score is a percentage displayed on every profile card showing how well you match with another user. Amour's scoring engine calculates this by analysing multiple dimensions: your answers to profile prompts, shared interests (from an interests grid covering categories like travel, food, fitness, and entertainment), lifestyle preferences (activity level, planning style, social style), and values alignment. The higher the percentage, the more aligned you are with that person. This helps you invest your time in connections that are most likely to be meaningful, rather than swiping blindly through hundreds of profiles.

A Super Like on Amour is more intentional than a regular like. Instead of simply swiping right on someone's entire profile, a Super Like lets you highlight a specific photo, a specific prompt answer, or a specific interest that caught your eye. You can also add a personal comment explaining what you liked about it. When the recipient sees your Super Like, they see exactly which part of their profile resonated with you and your personal message. This creates a much stronger first impression than a generic like and typically leads to better conversations from the very first message.

To delete your Amour account, open the app and go to Settings. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account". You will be asked to confirm your decision. Once confirmed, your account enters a deletion process and all your personal data — including your profile, photos, messages, matches, and any verification records — will be permanently removed.
