How Do I Report Someone?

Effective date: 18 March 2026 · Last updated: 18 March 2026

If you come across a profile or behaviour on Amour that makes you uncomfortable or violates our community guidelines, we encourage you to report it. Reporting helps us keep the Amour community safe for everyone.

Your report is always confidential. The person you report will not be notified that you filed a report, and they will never know who reported them.

Reporting From Discovery

If you see a profile during discovery that you would like to report:

  1. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on the profile card.
  2. Tap Report.
  3. Select a reason for your report from the list provided.
  4. If applicable, select a sub-reason that more specifically describes the issue.
  5. If prompted, add any additional information that may help our review team understand the situation. This is optional but helpful.
  6. Tap Submit.

Once your report is submitted, you will see a confirmation message: “You won't see this person again.” The reported profile will be removed from your discovery feed immediately.

Reporting From a Conversation

If you are in an active conversation and need to report the other person:

  1. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) in the chat header.
  2. Tap Report User.
  3. Select a reason for your report.
  4. If applicable, select a sub-reason.
  5. If prompted, you may add additional information to provide more context.
  6. For certain report reasons, you will see a toggle to include your chat history with the report. Enabling this sends a copy of the conversation to our review team, which helps us investigate more effectively.
  7. Tap Submit.

You will see the same confirmation message, and you will no longer see this person's profile or receive messages from them.

What Report Reasons Are Available?

Amour provides a list of report reasons tailored to the situation. Some reasons only appear when reporting from a conversation (for example, issues related to message content), and some reasons only appear for profiles that have not completed identity verification.

When you select a reason, you may be asked to provide a more specific sub-reason or additional details. The more information you provide, the faster and more accurately our team can investigate.

What Happens After I Report Someone?

After you submit a report:

  • You will not see the reported person again. Their profile is immediately removed from your discovery feed and conversations.
  • They will not be notified that you reported them.
  • Our Trust & Safety team reviews every report. Depending on the severity and frequency of reports against a member, they may receive a warning, have content removed, be temporarily suspended, or be permanently banned.
  • Your report is confidential. We do not share the identity of the reporter with the reported person.

Is There a Limit on Reports?

To prevent misuse, Amour limits each user to 5 reports per day. If you reach this limit, you will see a message that reads: “You've used all 5 reports for today.” Your report limit resets at midnight, and you can submit new reports the following day.

If you are in an urgent situation that requires immediate attention and you have reached your daily limit, please contact us directly at safety-amour@turtlebyte.in.

Can I Report Someone After Unmatching or Being Blocked?

If you have unmatched with someone or they have blocked you, you may not be able to report them through the app. In such cases, please contact our support team directly at safety-amour@turtlebyte.in with the following details:

  • The name and any identifying information from the profile
  • A description of the behaviour or content you wish to report
  • Any screenshots or evidence you may have

We take all reports seriously, regardless of how they are submitted.
