How Do I Appeal a Ban?
Effective date: 18 March 2026 · Last updated: 18 March 2026
If your Amour account has been suspended, you may be eligible to submit an appeal. We understand that mistakes can happen, and we want to give every member a fair chance to have their case reviewed.
Why Was My Account Suspended?
When you open the app after a suspension, you will see an Account Suspended screen that explains:
- The reason for your suspension, based on the community guideline violation that was identified.
- Whether the suspension is temporary or permanent. Temporary suspensions include an expiry date after which your account will be restored automatically. Permanent suspensions do not have an expiry date.
Common reasons for suspension include repeated violations of our community guidelines, behaviour reported by multiple members, inappropriate content, harassment, scams, or misrepresentation of identity.
How to Submit an Appeal
If your suspension is eligible for appeal, you will see an Appeal Decision button on the Account Suspended screen. Not all suspensions are eligible for appeal.
To submit an appeal:
- On the Account Suspended screen, tap Appeal Decision.
- You will be taken to the appeal form. Write a clear explanation of why you believe the suspension should be reconsidered. Include any relevant context that may help our review team.
- Your appeal must be between 10 and 2,000 characters in length.
- Tap Submit Appeal.
You will see a confirmation message: “Your appeal is under review. We'll notify you of the outcome, typically within 48 hours.”
Is There a Deadline to Appeal?
Yes. Eligible suspensions have a limited appeal window. The remaining time to appeal is displayed on the Account Suspended screen as a countdown (for example, “2d 12h remaining to appeal”).
Once the appeal deadline passes, you will no longer be able to submit an appeal for that suspension. If you see “Less than 1 hour remaining to appeal”, we recommend submitting your appeal promptly.
What Happens After I Submit an Appeal?
- Your appeal is reviewed by our Trust & Safety team, typically within 48 hours.
- You will be notified of the outcome. If the appeal is approved, your account will be restored. If it is denied, the original suspension remains in effect.
- You may only submit one appeal per suspension. If you have already submitted an appeal, you will see a message confirming that your appeal is under review, and the Submit Appeal option will no longer be available.
What If I Cannot Appeal?
Not all suspensions are eligible for appeal. You will not see the Appeal Decision button if:
- The suspension does not permit appeals.
- The appeal deadline has passed.
- You have already submitted an appeal for this suspension.
If you believe your account was suspended in error and you are unable to appeal through the app, you may contact us directly at safety-amour@turtlebyte.in. Please include your registered email address and a description of the situation.
